Spring 2008 Update on the New Orphanage
Now that the Orphanage setup team has established the foundational work for the new building and got the governmet approval, ground breaking is about to begin. Here is what happened since the last report:
-
We have raised over $12,000 to buy the logs so the Mill can cut the lumber for the structure. The mill has already begun processing the order, to be ready for this summer.
-
Blueprints are approved and ready to build.
-
Other money has begun to come in to finish the project, but the needs are great and all donations are a blessing to the children.
-
A team is assembled to build the main structure this summer.
We Thank God for His answer to the many prayers for this lighthouse in a dark area. Please continue to pray for this ministry and those that serve and give.
The Walker Family (David & June plus 4) has now RETURNED to AMERICA after spending the winter in Siberia with Justus in his work. Their stay in America may be short, as they are feeling called back to continue Gods work.
Many new home churches were established this winter and much growth occured in the Mill operation (which helps to meet some of the financial needs for the ministry). Great works are being accomplished in this region and God is blessing these people.
Pastor Scott of Cabinet Mountain Calvary Chapel (Clark Fork) visited the Walkers in Siberia this winter and spoke throughout the region, teaching the Word of God. He has come back with a vision for training center to raise up new pastors for the people of Siberia. Pray for Gods blessing on this opportunity.
We look forward to hearing reports from them over the months to come, although communication can be difficult from this region in Siberia.
May the Lord bless the work they lay their hands to.
